Aynor/Galivant's Ferry: Aynor and Galivants Ferry are two family-oriented communities located just 12 miles west of Conway on Highway 501 on the Horry/Marion County line. Aynor is known as the “Little Golden Town” and has its own 18-hole golf course – the Rolling Hills Golf Club. The 500 residents of Aynor enjoy a rural lifestyle with easy access to all the amenities and recreational opportunities that coastal South Carolina has to offer. Galivants Ferry has 140 residents. It is home to the famous Holliday House. The Hollidays are responsible for putting Galivants Ferry on the map as they were the owners/operators of the ferry that gave locals access to the rest of Horry County. The community has its own landing on the Little Pee Dee River, providing for recreational opportunities that include swimming boating and fishing. Galivants Ferry is also known for the annual Political Stump Meeting where the local politicians meet to discuss the issues. Housing prices in the area are very affordable. Single-family homes start at around $75,000 and range up to $250,000 for large estate homes with acreage.
